When we talk about ‘retail data’, what we mean is all of the facts and figures that retailers are collecting about their business, consumers, industry and market. There are a multitude of different sources for retail data, but it can be broadly separated into two types of data - transactional and consumer data, and in this chapter, we’ll explore both.
