AI agents built with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore are AI-powered assistants that can perform complex, multi-step tasks by orchestrating interactions between foundation models, data sources, and external systems. These agents are designed to automate various business processes and enhance user experiences through natural language interactions.

In this lab, you will learn about the Amazon Bedrock AgentCore service and how to configure and test agent resources. You will create an AgentCore harness and attach it to a gateway backed by a Lambda function. The agent will be able to provide the current time in different cities around the world using the Amazon Nova 2 Lite model.

Learning objectives

Upon completion of this beginner-level lab, you will be able to:

  • Configure an agent using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore resources
  • Invoke the AgentCore harness to test the agent's functionality
