Overview

Welcome to Activity 11: Applying the 7S Model.

Activity overview

As part of their overall change initiative, Zest have launched a Sustainability programme with the following four goals:

1.      Reduce carbon emissions in a weekly Zest box by 25%.

2.      Make all of its packaging reusable, recyclable, or compostable.

3.      Make ethical purchase decisions regarding where they source their packaging from and the suppliers they work with.

4.      Be first to market with “Planet Protect” status, demonstrating their commitment to sustainability to consumers.

So far, the change manager on the programme, Margaret Jones, has used the McKinsey 7S model with other key stakeholders who were identified, to assess the impact on one stakeholder group, the Sustainability team.

You were introduced to some of the impacts on the Sustainability team in the previous video (Expert view: Stakeholder impact).

For all seven questions, you will be asked to review the specific impacts on the Sustainability team and select the correct options of action for Margaret.
