Description

Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) is a desktop and application as a service offering in Azure. AVD provides you the ability to host client sessions on a session host running in Azure. AVD uses Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) to initiate the connection and provide remote display and input capabilities securely over the internet.

Host Pools are a collection of one or more VMs, aka session hosts, in Azure. Each host pool can contain an app group that users interact with from their physical desktop. It supports custom RDP properties for the RDP session host and functionality for MSIX App Attach if using the remote containerized profile for centralized profile storage.

In this hands-on lab, you will understand the networking foundation of the Azure Virtual Desktop environment and create the session host VM in a host pool using the Azure Portal.
