Description

Linux is an open-source operating system that runs a majority of workloads in the cloud. Linux skills are a staple of cloud job postings (find it in the Cloud Catalog Trending Technologies table) and can open many opportunities to you. This playground provides you with a browser embedded Linux terminal for you to practice with Linux commands. The terminal is a Bash shell running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). RHEL is a popular choice for Linux deployments in enterprise environments.

The playground is a safe and secure sandbox environment for you to explore your own ideas, follow along with Cloud Academy courses, or answer your own questions all without the need to install any software on your local machine. The extended duration of this playground provides you with ample time to play to your heart's content. You should also feel free to take risks, try unfamiliar Linux tools and commands, and in general learn more about working with Linux, even if it means running into a dead end and needing to start the lab over. Have fun in the playground!
