This Role-Based Assessment is a general assessment of central areas of solution architecture in the cloud.

The questions on this exam are intended for anyone currently employed as a solution architect or for anyone interested in or studying to become an AWS solution architect. If you have a professional background in architecture, you are likely familiar with the concepts, mechanisms, best practices, and scenarios in this exam.

The general architecture areas covered within this exam are:

  • Designing Resilient Architectures
  • Defining Performant Architectures
  • Specifying Secure Applications and Architectures
  • Designing Cost-Optimized Architectures
  • Defining Operationally-Excellent Architectures

There is no minimum score required to pass this exam because it is intended purely as an evaluation. We only ask that you do your best to answer all the questions in the allotted time (60 minutes) so that we can personalize our suggestions as accurately as possible.
