By the end of this lesson, you will have a greater understanding of AWS CloudFormation, including how the CloudFormation service processes stack and resource creates, updates, and deletes; the different stack states in CloudFormation; and how information flows through the CloudFormation stack create, update, and delete lifecycle.

To get the most out of this lesson, you should have a basic understanding of AWS CloudFormation, including how the service works and what it does. You should also have written a CloudFormation template previously and understand the basic building blocks of what makes up a template.
