Hello, and welcome to SC-400 Exam Prep: Administering Information Protection and Compliance in Microsoft 365. The focus of this course is to prepare you for Microsoft’s SC-400 exam. However, even if you’re not planning on sitting the exam, this course will teach you the skills needed to administer Information Protection and Compliance in Microsoft 365.

The SC-400 exam will test your knowledge in several key subject areas. You’ll be expected to know how to Implement information protection, Implement DLP, and Implement data lifecycle and records management. You’ll also be expected to know how to effectively Monitor and investigate data and activities by using Microsoft Purview, and how to Manage insider and privacy risk in Microsoft 365.

This course has been designed to align closely with the published learning objectives covered by the SC-400 exam. Therefore, we’ll teach you how to do things like Create and manage sensitive info types, Create and manage trainable classifiers, Implement and manage sensitivity labels, and Design and implement encryption for email messages.

As you move through the course, you’ll learn how to Create and configure DLP policies, how to Implement and monitor Endpoint DLP, and how to Monitor and manage DLP activities.

We’ll also cover retention labels, how to Manage data retention in Microsoft 365 workloads, and how to Implement Microsoft Purview records management.

Later in the course, you’ll learn how to Plan and manage regulatory requirements by using Microsoft Purview Compliance Manager, how to Plan and manage eDiscovery and Content search, and how to Manage and analyze audit logs and reports in Microsoft Purview.

We’ll wrap things up by covering Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance, Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management, Microsoft Purview Information Barriers, and how to Implement and manage privacy requirements by using Microsoft Priva.
