We take a look at two elements essential for product discoverability - taxonomy and search. We look at how the site taxonomy works and the different tactics suppliers can employ to ensure consumers can discover their brands products using the menus, categories filters and labels on the Digital Shelf. Next, we look at search, focusing on how retailers’ search algorithms work and exploring how suppliers can improve product search rankings on the results page. Finally, we cover ratings & reviews and explore the options suppliers have if they wish to target an increase in the quantity or quality of either product ratings or reviews.
