Our behaviour is actually driven by how we think and feel, by our emotions.

We think we make rational decisions almost all the time, but actually we don't.

This is our mind playing tricks on us.

Clever scientists have shown that decisions to behave in a certain way come from the limbic brain, the part that controls our memories and emotions.

Knowing this, we can therefore control how we feel and respond to others.

People will regularly say it's not my fault that I feel this way, or my thinking, or I can't help what I feel.

But we absolutely can control how we feel, and if we master that skill, we're in much more control of our behaviour.

The amazing news is that if we want to feel different, we can.

It'll take courage to be honest with ourselves in a way most of us might not have done before.

It takes discipline, perseverance, and resilience.

It means getting to know yourself, the patterns of your inner dialogue, and how they influence you each and every day.

And once you've mastered what is happening on the inside, you're in control of what people see on the outside.
